The UPEI Panthers clinched their spot in the Atlantic University Sport playoffs in emphatic fashion Saturday afternoon, routing the Saint Mary’s Huskies 72-0 at home in one of their most complete performances of the season.
Fueled by a monster 16-point performance from Lauren Misener, the UPEI Panthers went toe-to-toe with the perennial powerhouse St. FX X-Women on Saturday, walking away with a 26-26 draw that felt more like a statement than a stalemate.
It wasn’t victory, but it was validation.
