UPEI Athletics & Recreation offers Curling as a U SPORTS Partnership Sport with Curling Canada. The department supports the AUS and U SPORTS membership fee cost and offers departmental fundraising opportunities. The Varsity competitive club supports all other associated costs including ice time and travel costs.
The club will be coordinating practice and competitions to prepare/select a Men's and Women's competitive team for the 2026 Bell AUS Championship hosted by UNB January 15-18, 2026, at the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton, N.B.
The winners and runners up of the AUS Championship advance to the 2026 U SPORTS Curling Championships February 16-20, 2026. The host and location of that event have not yet been announced.
Full-time UPEI Students who are interested in participating with the Varsity competitive club team are asked to contact Varsity Coordinator Ron Annear (annear@upei.ca) or Curling Coordinator Ian Reade (curling@upei.ca). Participants will be required to complete all UPEI Student-Athlete Registration Program requirements.
