What is the UPEI Panthers Goldrush?

The UPEI Panthers Gold Rush is a virtual 50/50 fundraiser. This program has been established to help the UPEI Athletics and Recreation department to raise funds for our Varsity Athletic and Student Fitness and Recreation programs.

Each week players will have the opportunity to activate up to four sets of numbers (each set has three numbers) in order to win the weekly 50/50 pot, each set of numbers is only $5.00! On Saturday of every week a number will be randomly drawn from the total available numbers (both active and inactive numbers), if the number drawn has been activated that week the owner of that number will win BIG! If the number is not activated the pot will carry forward until an activated number is drawn.

How are the funds used?

All funds raised will be used to support the following:

1. Varsity program enhancements and sustainability initiatives, such as:

Student-athletes support programs (academic, mental health, etc.);
High-performance training (nutrition, fitness, mental preparation, etc.);
Exhibition competition;
Scouting and recruiting; and,
Coaching development.

2. Create more fitness and recreational opportunities for UPEI students:

Our goal at UPEI Athletics and Recreation is to provide programs and opportunities that meet the needs of all of our students. This requires more than just traditional programming, and, therefore, we are always seeking new ways to promote and deliver activity.

3. Provide an opportunity for everyone to support the UPEI Panthers – Go Panthers Go!
