Ria Johnston made an immediate impact in her first game back from injury. In the 18th minute of Sunday's game against the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women, the third-year centre and science student from Charlottetown, PEI, sprinted about 70 metres to record her first try of the season.
"Ria was the spark we needed injected into our lineup," said head coach James Voye. "She immediately made an impact on both attack and defence and was a threat to score each time she touched the ball. She proved why she should be a candidate for league MVP."
