Kyree Thompson, an arts student from North Preston, Nova Scotia, delivered another impressive weekend for the Panthers, filling the stat sheet and stepping up in key moments. The third-year guard averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals across two games while shooting 50 per cent from deep (6-for-12). On February 7, he hit a clutch three-pointer in the final seconds against the University of New Brunswick Reds to force overtime, though the Panthers fell just short. He bounced back during the game on February 8, leading the charge with 17 points in a 68-59 victory over the Dalhousie University Tigers.
"Kyree put together another impressive weekend, scoring 37 points, pulling down eight rebounds and five steals. In addition, he is also taking on tough defensive assignments and continues to impact the game on that side of the floor," said head coach Darrell Glenn.
