Alaere Peterside is a second-year science student from Opobo, Nigeria. For the third time this season, she broke her own UPEI record in the high jump and sits at 1.72 metres. She now ranks first in Atlantic University Sport (AUS) and is tied for third in U SPORTS.
"Alaere continued her impressive season, breaking her own school and provincial records," said coach Damon MacDonald. "She will look to defend her AUS title and earn a medal at the national level in the coming weeks."
