The UPEI Panthers came out strong early and held on for an exciting 51-48 win over the STFX X-Women in AUS basketball action Saturday evening on Coach K Court. With the win, the Panthers snapped a four-game losing streak while putting an end to a three-game win streak for the X-Women. The win also pulled the Panthers ahead of the X-Women in the AUS standings.

Behind another strong defensive effort and a career night from Aiden Rainford, the UPEI Panthers secured a weekend sweep with a 62-51 win over the St. FX X-Women.

The Rainford sisters put on a show during Friday’s home opener, leading the UPEI Panthers to a dominant 67-36 victory over the St. FX X-Women.

The Memorial Sea-Hawks faced the UPEI Panthers in the second game off their home opening weekend. Memorial Sea-Hawks were able to capture the win with a score of 70-58.
