Bio

The Stirling, ON native (by way of Kingston, ON) spent the 2021-22 season as head coach of the EHV Vienna Sabres of the European Women’s Hockey League. With a cumulative record of 27-7 (.794) Fisher lead the Sabres to an EWHL Final Four bronze medal; a European SuperCup Final Four silver medal; and an Austrian National Championship gold medal.

As head coach in 2018-19, Fisher lead the University of Manitoba women’s team to a 20-8 (.714) CanadaWest conference record and silver medal while qualifying for USports National Championships in Charlottetown, PE. Fisher had the team consistently in the USports Top Ten including five weeks at #1. As USports consolation champions they finished with a tournament record of 2-1 and celebrated fourteen Academic All-Canadians at season’s end. From 2014 to 2020 Coach Fisher held multiple roles at the University of Manitoba with the women’s hockey team. Accomplishments during that time include two CanadaWest silver medals; one CanadaWest gold medal; and the 2018 USports gold medal.

Fisher completed his undergraduate degree at Laurentian University - Arts (History) ’10 and is currently completing a Graduate Certificate/Masters in High Performance Coaching & Technical Leadership (’26) at the University of British Columbia.
