Sydney, NS — The Capers couldn't come through in an unpredictable game against the UPEI Panthers. The Panthers won with a score of 62-57 over the Capers on Saturday evening.
MacKenzee Ryan (Glace Bay, NS) pretty much carried the game on her back scoring 24 pts with 4 rebounds for the CAPERS. Audrey Rankin (Prince George's County, MD) had a significant 13 rebounds. Half time ended with a score of Capers 28 - Panthers 37. The Panthers received strong games from Jenna Mae Ellsworth with 22 points, Reese Baxendale with 21 points and Carolina Del Santos with 12 rebounds.
Turning Point - In the 4th quarter, MacKenzee shot an impressive jump shot (assisted by Ava Prosser) which gained Capers a tie of 52-52. However, the Panthers finished strong to take the game 62-57.
