Riley Whittingham, in the first period on the power play and Jordan Maher, at 16:35 of the second with the equalizer, scored during regulation time for the visitors. Alexandre Jacob (Danick Crète, Ryan Chiasson), at the beginning of the first and Édouard Michaud (Maxime St-Cyr, Alexandre Bernier), at 8:34 of the second, supplied the local team's offensive. Étienne Montpetit had 34 shots on the loss between the pipes and Simon Hofley, 30 for the win. UPEI was 1 for 3 on the power play and Moncton, 0 for 7.
Moncton will host Acadia University Axemen and the Saint Mary's University Huskies, Friday and Saturday of next week.
