Marcus returns to UPEI for his second season as an assistant coach with the Panthers Men's and Women's Basketball programs following a successful 2024–2025 campaign.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Cusinato played two seasons with the Panthers under Head Coach Darrell Glenn before completing his studies at RMIT University back home. Since then, he has built a well-rounded coaching resume across multiple levels of the game in Australia and internationally.

Prior to coming to UPEI Marcus spent three seasons with the Dandenong Rangers in Australia’s NBL1 (second division professional league) and held the role of Head of Basketball at Yarra Valley Grammar School. His coaching journey also includes international experience with FIBA, where he worked with the Papua New Guinea national team in preparation for the 2023 Pacific Island Games.

Deeply committed to player development, Cusinato has coached across all junior age groups from U12 to U20, and has been active in coach education, delivering training and mentorship to aspiring coaches across Australia.
