Bio
From Melbourne, Australia, Marcus Cusinato has a diverse background in the sport of basketball. He played for the UPEI Panthers under Coach Glenn for two seasons before returning to Australia to complete his studies at RMIT University.
Prior to returning and joining the Panthers Men's and Women's Basketball Program for the 2024-2025 season as a coach, he gained extensive coaching experience at various levels across Australia. Marcus spent three seasons with the Dandenong Rangers in Australia's second division professional league (NBL1) and served as the Head of Basketball at Yarra Valley Grammar School.
His coaching also led him to work with FIBA, where he travelled to Papua New Guinea to help the national team prepare for the 2023 Pacific Island Games. In addition to his high-level coaching roles, Marcus has dedicated significant time to mentoring youth players; coaching teams ranging from U12 to U20 and various levels. He also has worked in the Coach Education space helping coaches across Australia upskill.
