Holland College sweeps UPEI in Exhibition Play
UPEI suffers a sweep against Holland College in Exhibition Play
October 31, 2016
Holland College demonstrated why they're one of the top women's volleyball teams in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association as they swept UPEI three games to none in exhibition play over the weekend. Scores during the match were 25-17, 25-20 and 25-19. The Hurricanes are fresh from winning the ACAA tipoff tournament last weekend in Halifax.
Despite losing the match in straight sets, UPEI head coach Kevin MacAdam feels Christmas came early this year, as Hillary Isleifson, a six foot walkon from Carlyle, Saskatchewan joined the Lady Panthers this past week. Isleifson previously played two years of NCAA volleyball at Montana State University. Although her timing was off due to being idle from volleyball for a bit, Isleifson has quickly adapted to the Panther systems, and started all three games against the Hurricanes over the weekend. UPEI plays exhibition matches and tournaments, and is currently seeking entry into the ACAA..
