Bio

Originally from Ontario, Darrell Glenn played for the Panthers from 1988 to 1994 and was a member of the 1988–89 AUS championship team. He earned his BA from UPEI in 1994 and his B.Ed from the University of Toronto in 2000.

Prior to rejoining the Panthers, Glenn was the head coach at Seneca College. Glenn was also the former head coach of the Humber College men’s basketball team, winning regional and provincial titles in 2003, 2004, 2008, and 2009. He has coached with the National Team Junior Academy program, the Ontario Centre of Performance team, and the Ontario under-15 provincial team. He is the former assistant coach of Canada’s U16 Cadet team that participated in the FIBA America Qualifier in 2013, which won a bronze medal in Uruguay. He picked up bronze medals as the assistant coach of Canada’s World University Student Games team in 2007 held in Bangkok, Thailand and with the Canadian under-21 team in 2005 at the World Championships held in Cordoba and Mar del Plata, Argentina.  Glenn was named the CCAA Coach of the Year for 2009–10 and is a three-time OCAA Conference Coach of the Year.

Coach Glenn returns for his 5th year with the Panthers. Last season the team finished in 3rd place at the conclusion of the regular season going 7-7 and coach Glenn led the team to its first conference final since 2016.  
During his time back on campus Glenn has coached the U13, U14 provincial team & this summer coach Glenn leads the U15 Provincial team to the National Championships in Edmonton Alberta.   Coach Glenn was also awarded the PEI Basketball Coach of the year in 2019 for his contribution to minor basketball in PEI.
