Team Culture & Chemistry… Weekend Games… Injury Update
We currently sit at 1-3 in our league, our team and individual statistics are not what we had expected.
We currently sit at 1-3 in our league, our team and individual statistics are not what we had expected, we have had more than our share of tough luck, injuries and illness, we are not playing very well. I am very proud of my team! We have had a very hard week of practice. We have had some tough team meetings. Not one player has complained, not one player has hung their head, not one player has made excuses! Our whole group has acknowledged where we currently sit, and all are working hard for each other. Our team culture and chemistry may be even stronger now than when we began the season. It is very easy to feel good when everything is going your way, but it is when times get tough that you see the true measure of the culture of your program. I am very proud of my team right now!
We are on the road this weekend for two tough ones. Friday night at 8:00pm we play at Acadia, and Saturday night at 8:00pm at SMU. Not a good trip for the weak at heart! Both Acadia and SMU are playing well right now, and both of these places are tough places to win at the best of times. As many of you know, there are a few of us with the Panthers that are from Nova Scotia, especially the Wolfville and Halifax areas. We are all excited to make this trip! We know that a lot of our family and friends will be out to support the Panthers, as well as the PANTHER FAITHFUL now living in these areas!
Let's start with some good news! Lorenzo Parker has now been cleared to practice with the team! He will do all non-contact drills for the next couple of weeks, then progress to full practice. Make no mistake, having him and Jake able to participate in practice, albeit in limited roles, has definitely made a difference all ready! Both Tyler Scott and Milorad Sedlarevic have been receiving treatment throughout the week. Neither player has practiced fully this week. I would expect both to be game time decisions for each of our two games this weekend. Logan MacDonald continues to battle a lower back issue, and will not play.
GO PANTHERS GO!
