Tessa Roche
A tireless workhorse with a daeadly shot, Tessa Roche was one of the most feared strikers in Atlantic University Sport (AUS). She was the foundational player for UPEI's Women's Soccer team from 2005-2010 and led them to the finals in 2006, 2009 and 2010. The quick-footed forward was opportunistic off the ball and had a phenomenal first touch that made fools out of defenders, she made scoring a habit with her pinpoint accuracy. A fierce competitor who didn't back down from anyone, Roche amassed 46 goals and led the AUS in scoring three times in five seasons. In 2005, she netted a career-high 15 goals and was the easy choice for the Rookie of the Year Award. She was also named an AUS First-Team All-Star five times and a CIS First-Team All-Canadian twice, while earning the conference's Most Valuable Player Award in 2009 and 2010.
