Season Recap
While the 2015-16 season was expected to be a rebuilding year for Panther Volleyball, it turned out to be a very strong campaign for the Team
Only three players returned from the previous season forming a strong nucleus who were joined by an impressive group of skilled, hard-working and determined volleyball student-athletes.
Head Coach Kevin MacAdam and assistant Phil O'Neill were thrilled to see the team develop so quickly, and while not playing in either the AUS or ACAA league, the team was committed, played locally, worked hard to arrange competitive opportunities where possible, and continued to establish itself as a quality post-secondary volleyball program.
The team played in three off-Island tournaments and several exhibition matches against ACAA teams this year, and made the playoffs in all but one tournament.
Seven of the team's thirteen players came from off-Island this year, and all thirteen are eligible to return next season.
The UPEI Women's Volleyball program continues to grow, and the team would like to thank both the University's Athletic Department, and the local sports media, for the tremendous support provided again this year.
The team looks forward to an exciting 2016-17 season.
