Q: What's your daily routine like?
A: I'm quite lucky to be home in Sweden and the circumstances are quite different over here than in Canada. Sweden is trying to keep businesses open but with restrictions in order to reduce the spread of the virus. I'm working at a golf course now and just trying to enjoy being around the family, we're trying to do our part in social distancing, so we've been doing a lot of work around the house and such.
Q: What are you doing to prepare for the 2020-21 season?
A: Luckily the gyms are open in Sweden so I've been able work on my fitness, just trying to get stronger and better every day and get ready for the next season.
Q: What (creative) ways are you working on your skill development while at home?
A: My dad and I built a shooting ramp to practice my hockey shot and work on the hands a little.
Q: What is your nutrition program like?
A: Just trying to eat healthy and stay away from the junk food. My parents are amazing cooks so I don't really get a say in the kitchen. I'm also trying to pick up a couple a few pointers from them.
Q: How are you staying connected with teammates, friends and family?
A: Just over the internet – Snapchat, texting and Instagramming. it's easy to stay connected with people these days with our technology.
Q: When the anxiety of living during a pandemic gets to be overwhelming what do you do to get through it?
A: I think working out is a way for me to just get away from everything that's going on. Just play a couple good tunes in the headphones and get work done.
Q: What's something new you've been doing during this time?
A: I haven't really changed much of what I'm doing, just trying to do my part in social distancing and following the health authorities advice.
Q: What's the one thing you miss the most?
A: The thing I miss the most is definitely playing hockey. Can't wait for September to come so that I can step on the ice and see all the boys again.
Q: What's your go-to binge-worthy TV show? Why?
A: Tiger King has been my latest obsession after it came out, but my go-to TV shows are Entourage and Californication.
Q: Best movie franchise to watch while quarantined? Why?
A: Anything with Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill or Seth Rogen will put a smile on my face and get me through this period.
