Panthers land number 1 seed following StFX Tournament
UPEI will receive the honour to be ranked #1 in Tier 1 standing due to the win/tie record with Dalhousie.

Following the 2nd AUFH tournament held at StFX on Saturday, Oct 15th, the UPEI Panthers moved from 3rd place in Tier 1 into 1st place tied with Dalhousie. UPEI will receive the honour to be ranked #1 in Tier 1 standing due to the win/tie record with Dalhousie. UPEI will be ranked #1 for the AUFH Championships which will be held on UPEI Home Turf on Oct 29/30. In the Pool B Championship UPEI will play third place Tier 1 SMU and Tier 2 #6 place Acadia.
Head Coach , Sheila bell said " The girls brought their game to a new level this weekend playing with focus inside the circle which they were rewarded for with 12 goals. It was a total team effort with everyone contributing. Six players scoring in three games for 12 goals ..Haley Grimmer, Hope Higginbotham, Alyssa Ferguson, Sarah Sear each with 2 goals, Sydney Stavert with 1 goal while Hannah Gormley scored 3 goals.
UPEI leads the league with a total of 28 goals scored over the two tournaments with Sarah Sear and Hope Higginbotham tied for second in league scoring with 6 goals followed by Hannah Gormley and Alyssa Ferguson with 4 goals each in 4th place.
UPEI finally had three solid weeks of practice on UPEI Home Turf, a change in the system that Coach Bell put in place plus Hannah Gormley bringing her game to a new level and her teammates followed. With two weeks of practice before Atlantic University Championships it will be exciting to see what the Panthers will bring to the AUFH Championships.
